An emotional support animal provides comfort to its owner through companionship. This registration records Biscuit's details and lists the registration number below on the esapass.com public verification page so anyone shown this certificate can confirm it.
ESA Pass is not a government agency and no official emotional support animal registry exists, including ours. Our certificate and ID card are convenience products with no independent legal force. They do not entitle an emotional support animal to the rights and privileges accorded by law to a guide, signal, or service dog, and they are not a substitute for a letter from a licensed health care professional, which is what a housing provider may ask for. Knowingly and fraudulently representing yourself as the owner or trainer of a guide, signal, or service dog is a misdemeanor under California Penal Code §365.7 and unlawful in many other states.
