Terms of service

Version 2026-09-13. Agreement between you and the operator of esapass.com ("we", "us").

1. What you're buying

A registration kit: a Certificate of Registration and wallet card for your animal, generated from the details you provide, and a listing of your registration number on our public verification page for 12 months. The Complete Kit adds a printed, laminated card and printed certificate mailed to a U.S. address.

2. What it is not

ESA Pass is not a government agency and no official emotional support animal registry exists, including ours. Our certificate and ID card are convenience products with no independent legal force. They do not entitle an emotional support animal to the rights and privileges accorded by law to a guide, signal, or service dog, and they are not a substitute for a letter from a licensed health care professional, which is what a housing provider may ask for. Knowingly and fraudulently representing yourself as the owner or trainer of a guide, signal, or service dog is a misdemeanor under California Penal Code §365.7 and unlawful in many other states.

ESA Pass provides no medical or legal advice and makes no representation that any housing provider, airline, business or authority will accept the kit for any purpose.

3. Your responsibilities

Be 18 or older, provide accurate details, use the kit only for lawful purposes, and never present it as a service-animal credential or as evidence of a disability. We may cancel and refund, or revoke a listing, if a kit is used to misrepresent an animal.

4. Payment and delivery

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars before checkout and processed by Stripe. Digital files are delivered by email and on your kit page immediately after payment. Printed kits ship within 3 business days to U.S. addresses only. There is no subscription; the listing renewal is a separate purchase you may make once the first 12 months end.

5. Refunds

See the Refund policy, part of these terms: full refund of the registration within 30 days; printed items are non-refundable once shipped.

6. Corrections and reissues

Photo changes are self-service and free. Other corrections are free by email with your registration number.

7. Intellectual property

The certificate and card designs are ours; your pet's photo and details are yours, and you grant us a license to use them only to produce your kit and run the verification page.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us.

9. Disputes

Contact support@esapass.com first; most issues are resolved within a week. Either party may use small claims court.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are posted here with a new version date.
